"Carol is a wonderful team builder and is a personable co-worker, as well as a strong leader and manager. I first met Carol as a new manager to a failing business. I had been working at this establishment (to which I will not name) for 8-9 months prior to Carol joining on. The restaurant was already facing lots of issues such as: lack of communication, lack of organization (whether this be within the restaurant & staff, who's scheduled to work, lateness on checks or inaccuracies , etc.), as well as lack of restaurant compliance meaning there was a lot of things happening that were NoT supposed to be happening such as: Sexual Harassment, Labor Laws, Food Safety... you get the gist.
Already I was making plans in my head to quit because of how disorderly the restaurant was becoming. I was worried that Carol would have a hard time assimilating because the owners had a habit of not properly training their staff, and I had a feeling they would be doing the same with her (and they did) but thankfully she landed on her feet!
With lack of training on how the restaurant operated and directives from the owners, Carol was an invaluable addition. She made the women feel safer working there, she seamlessly aided in fixing up miscommunications about the schedule or reservations/booking systems, she introduced the bar to more draft beer selections (Before she came we only had 3 options), she even went back to try to fix the mistakes that were left from the previous manager. Never did I receive a late or incorrect check again! It was inspiring because she did all of this and some more without any training. I appreciated her help and she always effortlessly came to aid whenever you needed, multitasking several requests at once. For Carol is the only reason I stayed a few more months. They closed shortly after. For anyone who is looking for someone to meticulously direct you, organize your life ( her talents are beyond managing), write you a script, then Carol Hardern is the best suitable pick. "
