"I've spent enough years as a manager, business owner, community leader, a non-profit board member or many other roles in handling people, that I've learned the most important thing is never going to be on a resume or CV. The most important thing in determining if you're going to have a great employee, a terrific co-chair, or a copacetic parter in anything... the key is to try and find a decent human being. Are they a quality person? Do they embody the values, ethics and fortitude called upon in any situation? Can they handle the good and the bad? Can they stay level headed.... but most importantly... are they just a good person? Because if you're not a good person, it doesn't matter when you got a diploma or who you know. It's not enough.

Well, you don't have to wonder about that with Carol. In the several years I've known her and worked on a long-term project with her, I have found a person with an inner light that is matched by few. I've seen few people with her determination, drive and simply possessing an unmatched sense of decency. I'd trust her with my kids as much as my company. She's a good person. In fact, she's a great person. And that's the best kind of person there is to have, no matter what you're doing in life."
