"I have known Brian Carpenter, both personally and professionally for at least the past 25 years. I have watched Brian deal with the following issues with both character and integrity:
 Bridgeport ISD Board of Trustee Member
 Divorce
 Single parent raising children

In each of these instances he always held his head up and never quit trying and pushed through to the finish. He has a DNA of intestinal fortitude and perseverance which helped him survive all these events. When facing divorce with 3 young children to raise, he stepped up and became a single parent, putting his own life on hold for theirs.

Brian was my wife’s podiatrist for some previous foot issues and was very straightforward when discussing her treatment and surgeries. He performed two different surgical procedures for her. He did not sugarcoat his words, just told her the facts, and that was just what she needed to hear

In my former occupation as Chief Appraiser for the Wise County Appraisal District for 30+ years I found dealing with the Carpenter Family (Brian or his dad) they were always open, honest, and fair. People are not always honest when dealing with the property tax authorities.

When things on the Bridgeport ISD became focused on extracurricular activities instead of education, he spoke up, made his point, and eventually moved on when their focus remained on things other than education.

I would not hesitate to recommend Brian Carpenter to any position he is seeking. He would be a great asset to any staff or team!
