"I first became acquainted with Ms. Arrivé's scholarship in 2020, when I read her article in the journal Israel Affairs about the dissolution of the Cyprus detention camps in 1949. I remember being impressed by her judiciousness in identifying the key historical sources, her precision in analyzing those sources, and her elegance in presenting that analysis. Today, as I work to prepare a second edition of my book on the Cyprus detention camps, I am impressed by the fact that Ms. Arrivé took the time and had the initiative to reach out to me and to direct my attention to a fascinating detail about the Cyprus camps recorded in a little-known book by a French journalist. Judiciousness, precision, and elegance in presentation are the hallmarks of a fine historian; a willingness to share information is the badge of an extraordinary teacher. Ms. Arrivé is both.
