My comprehensive knowledge includes EPA and OSHA guidelines, safety and equipment procedures, mechanical systems, and expertise in QA/QC procedures in API/ASME standards, along with the ability to read system schematics adeptly.
I hold a degree in manufacturing engineering from Egerton University and am a registered International Project Manager Associate from the University of Iceland. My broad skill set encompasses power plant operations, workshop and fleet management, occupational health and safety, locomotive driving and maintenance, and proficiency in various computer applications, among others.
In the realm of project management, I have successfully planned and executed numerous multimillion-dollar projects within strict timelines and budget constraints. Notably, I spearheaded the establishment of a central workshop at GDC Menengai, which handled a fleet of vehicles, civil equipment, and rigs. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in the design and construction of water systems for rigs in the Menengai geothermal project.
My previous roles included serving as an assistant workshop engineer at Nzoia Sugar Company Limited, where I was responsible for maintaining factory pumps, gears, and auxiliary machines. Furthermore, I have 4 years of experience as a planning engineer, overseeing planning, costing, budgeting, implementation, and monitoring of projects at the Menengai geothermal project.
As an operations engineer in power plants, I adeptly supervised daily operations, including operating control systems, monitoring gauges and meters, performing routine checks, maintaining equipment, and making necessary adjustments to distribution.
I gained extensive experience in IT support while working for Masaba Services Limited, an outsourced company by Safaricom, and I was highly successful in my role as a support engineer.
