"When our film “Outed: The Painful Reality” was banned from public screening in Uganda due to its portrayal of the dangers faced by LGBTQ people, it was a great honor to have it screened at the Baltimore International Black Film Festival in 2015, where it also received the Best International Feature Film Award. The festival provided an important platform for stories that could not safely be shown at home and demonstrated a genuine commitment to diverse voices and independent filmmakers.
