Powerful, Brave , Bold, Trailblazing stories featuring the Gifts and Talents of the Global Black Collective. Some stories that need to be seen , that otherwise may not get an opportunity to be showcased as they deserve. Films that also highlight the oh so importance of Black Unity, particularly in times such as these , even more so. The Baltimore International Black Film Festival is a much needed treasure. "

"When our film “Outed: The Painful Reality” was banned from public screening in Uganda due to its portrayal of the dangers faced by LGBTQ people, it was a great honor to have it screened at the Baltimore International Black Film Festival in 2015, where it also received the Best International Feature Film Award. The festival provided an important platform for stories that could not safely be shown at home and demonstrated a genuine commitment to diverse voices and independent filmmakers. I’m grateful for the opportunity and proud to support the important work the festival continues to do.
