Avery

"I have worked alongside Avery in several capacities: as her teacher and as her organization sponsor. As a student, Avery is diligent and attentive. She contributes to the classroom both academically by engaging in discussions and as an active member of any team, and also socially as an accepting and generous peer.
I had the privilege of sponsoring a student leadership organization for which Avery was elected Vice President. Avery's leadership skills were vital to the success of the organization, which increased student engagement, school spirit, and community investment. The leadership team spearheaded an initiative to raise awareness of students' mental health and personal lives in an effort to improve teacher-student relationships. The initiative, and corresponding project, had a profound impact on the school and was included in a district-wide learning conference. The project highlighted Avery's creativity, compassion, and integrity.
