"It is my privilege to recommend Hospital Corpsman Third Class (HM3) Austin Duhm, who served under my supervision in support of the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division. During his time with the unit, HM3 Duhm played a critical role in providing medical care for over 288 Marines, consistently demonstrating professionalism, medical proficiency, and a strong commitment to the mission.

HM3 Duhm’s work ethic is unmatched. He took on every task whether if it was routine sick call, field training exercises, or emergent casualty response with precision and purpose. He quickly earned the trust of both the Marines and medical staff through his reliability, clinical judgment, and calm demeanor under pressure. His contributions significantly enhanced our unit’s medical readiness and ensured seamless support during high-tempo operations.

More than just a skilled Corpsman, HM3 Duhm is a leader and mentor. He consistently took initiative, trained junior Sailors and Marines in life-saving interventions, and maintained high standards of medical documentation and readiness tracking. His ability to lead by example, even in austere environments, made him an invaluable asset to our team.

I fully endorse HM3 Duhm for any position requiring maturity, technical expertise, and leadership. He will be an outstanding addition to any command or civilian medical organization.
