About

I work as a freelance architect and researcher. My research projects on architectural history, especially from the modernist period, reflect my interest in the history and interdisciplinarity of architecture. With the projects “Spremembe (Changes), a guide to Maribor architecture between 1920 and 2000” and my master's thesis, I try to bring attention to the state and importance of 20th century architecture in Maribor. Since graduating, I worked in practice in collaboration with transform, arhitekturna pisarna, AU arhitekti, and Studio.A+V. Yet, now I have focussed on research while I am also active in the field of architectural journalism, as technical editor for Architect's bulletin. Since 2023, I am a PhD candidate at the Institute for AKK Institute TU Graz, where I am researching the socio-political and cultural influences on the development of architecture between 1920 and 1945 in Maribor. Through my projects, I try to draw attention to the importance of heritage in space. I am currently writing about this in my PhD thesis, where I want to show how architecture is connected to the social, political, and cultural influences in space.
