About

Adugna Necho received a B.Sc. degree from Adama Science and Technology University in 2013 and an M.Sc. degree in computer engineering from Mekelle University in 2018, both in Ethiopia. In 2013, he started working at Bahir Dar University. During his tenure, he has published three research papers on IoT and related topics, managed projects funded by the university, and participated in many community service and administrative activities, such as being the chair of the software and data science courses, the head of the hardware and networking department, and different committees at the university. He was also the Internet Society Ethiopia Chapter President from 2020–2023. He was a TRIL fellow at ICTP, Italy, from May 1–August 30, 2021, and attended a school on Internet governance (SIG) in Meissen, Germany, from August 15–21, 2021. He is now a PhD student in computer engineering at Bahir Dar University.
