  • As a member of the 7-Man Strategic Change Team engaged by the Kwara State Government in 2015 for the reform of the State’s Internal Revenue Service, I served as Pioneer Director of Admin and Corporate Affairs, Pioneer Director of Admin and Operations and held several other portfolios that helped repositioned the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service and placed her among the tops in the nation. A few of my experience in this capacity are here listed:
  • October 2015-January 2017: Director, Admin & Corporate Affairs.
  • As Pioneer Director of Admin and Corporate Affairs of the reformed IRS, I was responsible for the recruitments, training and onboarding of new staff as well as all human resources related issues such as performance evaluation management, disciplinary issues, policy documentation and communication. I supervised the activities of the Admin and Corporate Affairs departments. Some of these include facility management, logistic management, the IRS monthly publication and representation at the media houses.
  • January 2017- September 2017: Director, Operations & Process
  • The Operations & Process Directorate needed a make-over and by January 2017, I was seconded to commence the process of automation and digitization of the Service operations and the IT infrastructure in totality.
  • I worked directly with the Executive Chairman and other top management team to brainstorm, discuss strategy on full automation of all the Service’s operations and processes
  • Modernized and improved, operational procedures to increase efficiency through the introduction and procurement of up-to-date IT infrastructure (software & hardware), recruitment of skilled IT staff to manage the infrastructure and training and retraining• Managed efficiently all the IT platforms and social media handles.
  • Created and updated content on all the Service’s platform
  • Managed the IRS help desk and ensured feedbacks are handled professionally and efficiently
  • Managed bank relationships and other service providers like Interswitch, IT service providers (MTN) to ensure reconciliation of inflow on our e-payment and other electronic platforms
  • September 2017-September 2019 Director, Admin & Operations
  • I was deployed to manage a new merger of Admin; which included Human and other Resources of the Service, and Operations (ICT) in a new Directorate called Admin & Operations.
  • Here, I Supervised the activities of four key departments ; Admin, HumanResources, Customer Service and ICT departments. I reported directly to the Executive Chairman.
  • Led several projects that repositioned the IRS and saw it among the first ten in Nigeria. Some of these projects include: the documentation of the IRS’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Drafting of the Service’ Policies, implementation of two ISO Standards (Business Continuity Management Systems and Quality Management Systems Standards) up to the point of certification by PECB, Canada and documentation and implementation of Job description of all staff roles.
  • I directed HR operations, including strategic workforce planning, goal cascading, performance management, and rectified issues resulting in performance optimization
  • I directed, trained and motivated all staff via-in house trainings, conferences and external trainings to continuously improve knowledge and enhanced professionalism.
  • I directed and ensured the management of a secured high-level facility management of all our offices spaces and locations across the State.
