Abdullahi Ibrahim Uba is a bioinformatics, computational biology, and biochemistry researcher with an interest in molecular modeling and computer-aided molecular design for human diseases. Focusing on elucidating the activation mechanism of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) using extensive all-atom molecular dynamics simulations, and computational analysis of the interaction of synthetic and naturally-occurring bioactive compounds with biomolecular targets including HDACs, MetAP2, VEGFR-2, PD-L1, BCL-2, CDK2, TRAF2 and MMP-9 for the treatment of cancers; AChE and BChE, for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease; as well as amylase and glucosidase, for the treatment of diabetes. His teaching activities span Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Genetics, Epigenetics, and Functional Genomics & Proteomics courses
