I am a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist with more than five years of working experience on the bench with both Governmental and Non- governmental organizations (NGOs) from 2017 to date. I am a WHO Certified level 1 Malaria Microscopist, with a sound knowledge/skills in all field of Clinical laboratory science which includes various clinical investigations, Researches, Malaria diagnosis, Molecular Techniques, Quality control/Quality assurance of equipments and Analyzers, Validation of Rapid diagnostic kits (RDTs), Collection of laboratory data/Inventory, record keeping, Facilitation/Training for Malaria microscopists and in adherence of Good clinical laboratory practice in accordance with the standard. Besides the above duties, I am proficient in working together with the team members, communicating with the concerned stakeholders and troubleshooting the technical issues. I have participated in many trainings/certification and Researches which include; Facilitation skills Training for Malaria microscopy WHO External Competence assessment for Malaria Microscopy (WHO ECAMM) Quality Assurance training on Malaria microscopy Basic Malaria microscopy techniques Also participated in some postgraduates research studies, notable among which are; 1. Prevalence and Molecular Markers associated with Drug resistance patterns of Plasmodium isolates among pregnant Women in North-West Geopolitical zone of Nigeria 2. Cohort study of Anti-malaria Drug efficacy testing among pregnant Women attending Ante-natal care in Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina.3. Prevalence of malaria parasite in Pregnant Women attending Ante-natal care within Katsina Metropolis4. Assessment of Renal function and Haematological profile in children diagnosed with Malaria in Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina.5. Haematological profile and Reticulocyte count of apparently healthy term neonates within 24 hours of delivery in Federal Medical Centre Katsina.6.
