"A. Llanos was far more than an ELL teacher to me. She was a strong advocate who stood up for me during difficult moments and created a classroom where I felt protected and respected. She held very high standards and pushed us beyond basic requirements, helping us grow both academically and personally.
She also taught us important life skills. She had a unique ability to command respect; every student, even those who were usually disruptive, listened and behaved in her class.
