Setting up and maintaining ultrasound equipment
Apply Ultrasound scanning knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and treatment of hospital patients / clients without any form of sentiment or bias.
Performing ultrasound examinations on patients
Producing images resulting from the ultrasound examinations
Interpreting ultrasound images to aid patient diagnosis
Addressing patients’ concerns before, during and after ultrasound examinations
Keeping up to date records of scans performed and images produced
Referring patients to other healthcare professionals , when necessary
Soothing and reassuring nervous or anxious patients
Provide health education and supports to patients and their relatives in a detailed manner.
