The Chief Internal Auditor shall be administratively responsible to the Vice Chancellor and functionally to the audit committee of the Council.

Applicants must have:


Have a minimum period of Fifteen (15) years relevant work experience three (3) of which as Deputy Chief Internal Auditor;
Have Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Finance and Accounting option) or relevant field from a recognized university;
Have Master degree in any of the following disciplines: Business Administration (Accounting/Finance Option) or relevant field from a recognized institution;
Must be a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (K) or CIA III or CISA III or its equivalent;
Be a registered member of ICPAK and OR CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) OR Be a Member of the IIA/ISPAK in good standing;
Be proficient in computer application skill;
Have demonstrated professional competence and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution.
