Responsibilities

Carry out reconciliation of bank Account positions.
Raise journal entries to update inflow and outflow of funds
Carry out performance tracking for market facing staff members.
Ensure monthly remittances of tax deductions for both Federal and Lagos State Tax Authorities.
Prepare monthly depreciation schedule of the organisation’s fixed assets and monthly amortization of outstanding prepared expenses.
Maintain the schedule of prepaid expenses of the organisation.
Appropriate coding of transaction/expense voucher in line with the proper accounting system.
Daily review of general ledgers for accuracy.
Prepare, monitor and control the performance of departmental budgets in accordance with the strategic plan of the organisation.

Relevant Skills, Qualification, Attributes & Experience

HND / University Degree in Banking, Accounting, Economics or other related field
Associate Member of Professional body e.g. ACCA, ICAN is an added advantage
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial services.
IFRS experience strongly desired.
Knowledge of the insurance regulations and laws.
Proficiency in Computer Applications Excel /Microsoft Office/Banking Applications
Good written and oral communication.
