The opportunity
The purpose of this role is to ensure financial accountability for Accelerating Basic Education and Livelihood Opportunities for Children and Youth in North Western Nigeria project grant according to Plan International and donor requirements. The Consortium Finance Manager will support a Consortium of partners implementing the project by ensuring that financial and grants management information systems are in place and functional. The Consortium Finance Manager will be responsible for implementing an inter-agency fraud risk prevention, mitigation and response plan. The position is responsible for receiving and reviewing partner expenditures and reports, and preparing consolidated financial reports for the donor.
About You
We are looking for applicant with a Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or its equivalent. The candidate should have at least 5 years’ work experience in a similar role and must be a chartered Accountant. S/he must possess a recognized professional accounting qualification e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA. The candidate should be knowledgeable in the use of accounting software (preferably SAP) with fair knowledge in grants and project management. Experience working with key Donors in the industry, in addition to working with and providing capacity development assistance to sub-grantees is strongly preferred.
