Requirements for appointment


Holder of a Diploma in Occupational therapy from a recognized institution.
Be registered with relevant regulatory body (Kenya occupation therapy association.)
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
Leadership skills and problem-solving skills.
At least one-year experience in a busy hospital
Other requirements as per the relevant Scheme of Service


Duties & Responsibilities


Management of rehabilitation Services in a Hospital or Health Center.
Helping patients develop, recover, improve in regards to a condition or injury, as well as maintain the skills needed to execute daily activities.
To use different types of modalities in management of different conditions.
Engagement in social activities, identification of people with disabilities, educating community about disabilities, promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities, remove barriers and obstacles that disrupt participation.
Improve the functional capabilities of PWDs
To compile reports according to stipulated report guidelines
Liaising with division heads on health services; and be deployed in specialized clinics.
To work in collaboration with other stakeholders in all departments
Safeguarding and ensuring maintenance of equipment and appliances
Maintaining up –to- date health information system in area of specialization.
Analyzing medical reports in area of specialization.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
