Job Summary
• The Vehicle Dispatch & Information Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient dispatch of company vehicles, managing logistics operations, and ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of fleet activities. • This role ensures optimal vehicle utilization, compliance with transport policies, and seamless coordination between drivers, departments, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and engage with external carriers to expand and deepen the transportation resource pool. • Maintain strong relationships with existing carriers, manage carrier contracts, and conduct regular performance evaluations. • Promote the participation of new carriers in route bidding processes, increasing the proportion of competitive, high-quality carriers. • Negotiate rates and terms with carriers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and delivery capacity to meet business needs. • Monitor carrier performance against KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost, and service quality, and implement improvement plans where necessary. • Coordinate with internal logistics and planning teams to align carrier capacity with operational needs. • Ensure all carrier operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
• Masters in Logistics, Transport Management or any related field • Minimum 5 years transport/logistics experience • Strong external communication and coordination abilities • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and transport management systems • Knowledge of Ghana transport regulations • Proficiency in transport management software and GPS tracking systems • Excellent organizational and time management abilities • Ability to analyze data and prepare operational reports
