Role Overview:

Our client in the downstream sector of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria with over 50 retail outlets is currently recruiting for Head: Commercial and business unit, The ideal candidate will be in charge of promoting and expanding the company’s commercial activity that will generate revenues and lead to sustainable growth

Responsibilities


Identify potential customers and understand their unique needs or designing strategies to win them
Developing proposals that meet customers needs
Negotiating prices and terms of sales
Closing sales and achieving targets
Provide complete solutions for commercial and industrial clients regarding products and service
Develop and execute sales growth strategy to meet both 80% of revenue target and business objectives
Quantify and prioritize opportunities and utilize information to integrate with monthly sales target
Develop marketing strategies, identify new opportunities, collaborate with all departments with respect to product, pricing and new market push
Formulate plans and timelines to convert opportunities into profitable sales.
Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.)
Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management


Requirement


A minimum of BSc/BA degree, MSc/MA is an added advantage
Minimum of Eight (8) years of experience
Proven experience as commercial director or other relevant role
Proven experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key client
In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
Excellent organizational and leadership skill
