Duties and Responsibilities

Collection of bodies from wards; 
Performing autopsy procedures; 
Body embalming; admission and dispatch of bodies; 
Cleaning of the mortuary; 
Cleaning of mortuary equipment and body reconstruction;
Wrapping in mortuary sheets, labelling and storing of dead bodies in the Cold room of the mortuary; and
Keeping of appropriate registers for receipt and delivery of dead bodies at the mortuary;

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

Minimum of KCSE C- (Minus);
Certificate in Mortuary Science or any other equivalent from a recognized institution;
License from Kenya Health Professionals Oversight Authority; and
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
