BROAD FUNCTION

Developing and implementing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems and determining corrective actions.
Ensure the new and revalidated cylinders meet established quality standards eliminating defects from market, providing support to the whole company to ensure a safe working environment in line with statutory requirement.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure effective and efficient utilization of Company resources by the production staff
Supervise the day to day running of the production line by supervising the production team to ensure stations and overall targets are timely achieved
Co-ordination with the Production and Quality Engineer in drawing weekly plans ensuring availability of all the necessary materials to undertake the planned work
Responsible for any time wasted in the factory, overtime wrongfully claimed, sub-standard production and reworks 
Ensure that all staff are suitably trained and qualified on safety for the various tasks and jobs they are assigned
Participating in New Product Development (NDP) initiatives
Evaluating work performance for production staff in liaison with other supervisors for both contract and temporary staff on monthly basis
Acting on customer complaints and putting in place corrective measures to avoid future complaints
Providing support to the Quality Management System in the organization
Gather and analyze production data on hourly and daily basis 
Liaise with Quality Engineer to ensure products quality and reworks are carried out in timely manner
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

A degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
4 years' of manufacturing experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to multitask.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
