Position Overview:
The Head of Capability and Development will be responsible for designing and implementing the organisation's capability and development strategy, including talent management, total reward component, and succession planning strategies. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and implementing development programs, as well as compensation and benefits structures. The candidate will need to work closely with the HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and line managers to ensure that the talent development programs align with Wasoko's objectives.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a practical hands-on training curriculum and content that is aligned to business objectives
Develop and implement capacity development strategies aligned with business objectives.
Leverage technology for all development needs
Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of training channels and curriculum
Assist with certification, testing, documentation and continuous learning requirements
Create a continuous learning culture within the organization
Develop knowledge-sharing strategies across the region
Develop and manage training budgets.
Develop and implement succession and career development planning
Work closely with HR Business Partners to identify and develop high-potential employees and create career development plans for them.
Design and implement leadership development programs that align with the organisation's goals and vision.
Drive performance management globally working closely with managers to support team growth, development and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in talent management, development, and total rewards management.
Proven track record in designing and implementing talent management and development programs.
Strong understanding of compensation and benefits structures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to analyse data and develop reports.
Experience in implementing succession planning strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve the organisation's goals.
