KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Financial Management


Support and challenge the business through in a financial view (Controlling & Performance Improvement)
Month end closing for Revenue
Working as part of the commercial management team to ensure that it delivers its financial targets and that all financial issues and risks are quickly identified and addressed
Monitor and manage the revenue accounting systems and related policy and procedures. This includes the setting of budgets, variance analysis, deal accuracy, internal controls, ERP system integrity, etc
Provide leadership in driving the Topline Financial Results including monitoring and assessing the business’s performance improvement plans
Participate in the ongoing business management by providing counsel to the Commercial Leadership Team and other business managers relating to revenue controls and improvement activities
Manage and execute special projects as assigned by the Head of Topline Controlling and/or Finance Director


Financial Planning and Budgeting


Financial follow-up of revenue management
Build revenue budget/estimates
Deliver annual & adhoc revenue investment scenarios
Monitor the performance vs budget / YA
Critical evaluation of revenue investment spend, actual spend vs. budget management and post-evaluation assessment.
Budgeting and reporting against budgeted results
Support Annual external audit preparation as well internal audits


Financial Analysis


To ensure the integrity of Financial reporting of Revenue
Analyze the financial impact of different strategies within different channels/for different product groups/etc.
Support in all financial activities, including insightful evaluation and reporting; actual results and KPI reporting; forecasting and budgeting; project evaluation; investment control and document flow
Direct and assist in the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements including related financial analysis. This includes the annual budget, forecasts, and management reporting


Integration


Ensuring that CBU and Group are supplied with timely and accurate financial information
Drive Corporate governance within revenue management
Strengthen and support the control environment and compliance activities to safeguard the business. Ensure the implementation of the financial policies and procedures of the corporation
Develop strong working relationships with staff, peers, and senior management


Leadership and Management


To lead, develop and support commercial team with financial reporting and corporate governance
Develop direct reports/junior talent for future readiness of larger roles within CBU finance


KEY REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

Qualification(s)


B Comm and minimum 5 years relevant experience in FMCG environment.
At least 2 years thereof within a leadership role in Commercial Finance

Good communication skills (verbal as well as written) as well as influencing skills
Ability to manage people and their expectations.
Ability to develop junior talent into readiness for future roles
