Our client, a fashion brand in Lagos is looking for an experienced Fashion Designer to join the team.

Overview

As Fashion Design Lead, you will drive the creative vision for the brand, overseeing the design process from initial concept to final production. You will develop trend-inspired collections with innovative designs to address market demands and brand aesthetics. Leadership ability, technical acumen, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are required to develop high-quality, fashion-relevant products

.Job Responsibilities


Lead the design process from concept to final production.
Develop seasonal collections aligned with brand image and market directions.
Develop sketches, mood boards, and technical illustrations for garment production.
Coordinate with pattern makers, manufacturers, and sourcing specialists.
Ensure fabric selection, trims, and finishes are quality.
Conduct trend analysis and competitor study to drive innovation.
Coordinate fittings, modifications, and final sign-offs on samples.
Coordinate and direct the design team to deliver creative excellence.
Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to keep design in line with sales strategy.
Optimize workflow for maximum productivity in a high-speed fashion environment


Requirements


Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
5+years of design experience, with leadership exposure.
Understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and textiles.
Experience managing collections and leading teams.
Fashion movements, market insight, and sustainability.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
