Development and Implementation of M&R Frameworks: Design and implement comprehensive M&R frameworks for SSPU projects and key work areas.
Develop and implement performance indicators, data collection methods, and tools for monitoring and reporting.
Ensure that M&R frameworks are aligned with UNEP’s and donor’s reporting requirements.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, manage, and analyse data and evidence related to project performance, deliverables, outputs and outcomes.
Ensure the quality and integrity of data through regular checks and validations.
Analyze data to identify trends, impacts, and areas for improvement.
Reporting: Prepare high-quality, timely reports for internal and external use, including IPMR (internal reporting system), donors, UNEA, corporate reports, thematic reports, reports, and UNEP leadership.
Develop progress and final reports as required by donors and UNEP, and support mid-term and end-of-project evaluations.
Ensure that reports meet donor requirements and are aligned with UNEP’s reporting standards. d. Draft Briefing Notes and other written inputs, as requested, presenting evidence and impact of SSPU activities. 

Qualifications/special skills

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, international development, project management, engineer, economics, or a closely related field is required. Master’s degree in a related field is desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in monitoring and reporting, 3 years with international organizations is required.
Proven experience in designing and implementing M&R frameworks and tools within the UN system or other international organizations is desired
Strong analytical skills and experience in data collection, management, and analysis is required Excellent communication and report writing skills is required
