Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to Group Executive: Human Resources and will be accountable for the following deliverables:


Interpret and translate the People and Culture strategy into a functional HR plan aligned to ACSA’s organisational goals.
Develop and implement integrated talent acquisition strategies that address critical workforce needs and reflect emerging market trends.
Benchmark and design best-in-class acquisition policies, strategies, processes and systems in partnership with HR Centres of Excellence and business leaders.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, governance standards and internal policies; proactively managing HR risks and implementing remedial as required.
Develop and implement diverse sourcing strategies and manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle to attract and secure top talent in line with ACSA’s needs.
Drive functional performance by embedding talent acquisition metrics, optimising systems and structures.
Manage the implementation of learning and development plans to address the personal, professional, and organisational capability needs of ACSA employees.
Contribute to the development and implementation of employee relations strategies minimising workplace disputes and fostering a positive work environment.
Support diversity and inclusion by implementing Employment Equity strategies, participating in bargaining processes, and engaging with staff, management and employee relations forums.
Ensure HR Shared Services deliver effective, cohesive support aligned to the needs of client departments and the broader organisational objectives.
Review and enhance HR Shared Services procedures to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and strengthen data management through automation and optimisation.
Lead and develop the team by providing strategic direction, building capability, ensuring succession to achieve functional objectives.
Develop and manage operational, capex and labour budgets for the function emanating from business plans.
Generate accurate, timely recruitment and workforce reports, aligned to business, statutory and executive requirements, and proactively anticipate and respond to emerging trends and deviations.
Strengthen ACSA’s positioning as an employer of choice by amplifying the talent brand and EVP, while managing strategic internal and external relationships to support functional delivery and organisational goals.


Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 


Bachelor’s Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Human Resources / Industrial Psychology / Business Administration/ Humanities / Social Sciences is essential. 
Master’s degree (NQF 9) in Human Resources / Industrial Psychology / Business Administration/ Humanities / Social Sciences is advantageous
Minimum of 8 years’ operational experience in HR Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition / Recruitment is essential. 
Minimum of 4 years’ experience at middle management level is essential.
