Reporting to General Manager, Geothermal Development, the job holder is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: -

Overseeing geoscientific surface exploration programs and conceptual models.
Directing resource assessment and development activities
Administering geophysical and geochemical monitoring of the geothermal reservoir.
Overseeing the monitoring of steam quality and chemical treatment programs for power plants
Responsible for Geographic Information Systems (GIS), cadastral, cartographic surveys, and related activities
Managing the development and maintenance of Geo-databases
Facilitating geoscientific research projects

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -
Minimum relevant experience of twelve (12) years with at least five (4) years in a management role
Master’s degree in Geology/Geochemistry/Geophysics /Physics/GIS/Geospatial Engineering or equivalent from are recognized institution
Bachelor’s degree in Geology /Geochemistry /Geophysics /Physics/Chemistry/ Geomatics/Geospatial Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Post graduate Diploma in Geothermal Energy Technology 
Certification in Leadership from a recognized institution;
Professional qualification & membership where applicable
Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
