Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Underwriter to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of insurance products and underwriting principles.
The Technical Underwriter will be responsible for assessing risk and determining appropriate coverage levels for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess risk to determine appropriate coverage levels for clients.
Analyze insurance applications, claims, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and insurance carriers.
Provide technical underwriting support to our sales and marketing teams.
Collaborate with other underwriters and analysts to develop and implement underwriting strategies.
Participate in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, changes in regulations, and new products and services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
A professional certification in Insurance is an added advantage
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical underwriting in the insurance brokers industry.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry trends.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
