This is a full-time position requiring weekend availability.

SUMMARY:

As a Laundry Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Housekeeping & Laundry Services Management team with the day to day oversight of Laundry operations (Main Laundry, Valet Laundry, Uniform Room, Utilities, and Housekeeping) within hotel and company guidelines to ensure quality standards are met to total guest and associate satisfaction. Supervises and motivates Laundry personnel with daily oversight, to include staffing, training, accountability and documentation, scheduling, and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to maintain and exceed guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-Oversee entire Laundry and Housekeeping operations-Follows all AHC Handbook policies and standard operating procedures-Leads a productive operation in Laundry resulting in the timely production and delivery of properly cleaned and pressed linen and terry to guestrooms, food and beverage, pool linens/terry, and associate uniforms to the hotel-Ensures all Laundry Utilities are properly trained, daily duties completed in a timely manner, and landings are free from linen/trash/dishware.-Assists in the production and output of linen being processed through the Laundry department during peak times.-Assists in sorting and counting uniforms in the Uniform Room when physical inventory counts are needed (Inventory)-Responsible for maintaining chemical inventory and reporting findings to Management.-Maintains linens in accordance with property standards by monitoring condition of linens and repairing and/or replacing linens as necessary (stained linen is treated and re-claimed, damaged linen is removed from inventory)-Coordinates and assists with linen inventories and recommend purchases to Housekeeping leadership and Director of Rooms-Ensure maximum safety by enforcing Housekeeping and Laundry rules/regulations, such as breaks and working safely. -Strives to reduce accidents in the department by closely monitoring work by associates-Assists in the training of associates in the proper operation of Laundry equipment and best practices -Utilizes leadership skills/motivation techniques in order to maximize associate productivity and satisfaction.-Understands limited basics of Laundry maintenance & preventative maintenance.-Ensure all maintenance issues are promptly reported to Engineering Department and Housekeeping leadership-Adheres to established operational budgetary guidelines and federal, state, and locally mandated safety and environmental regulations.-Critique and coach employee performance -Assign daily work to employees-Work with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction-Forecast business levels for following day-Work with other Housekeeping leadership to ensure proper productivity and quality standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

-1-2 Years of Laundry Experience Preferred-Working experience in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word required-Hotsos/Rex, ONQ, and InvoTech experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

-Bend, stoop, stand, and walk long distances for the duration of the shift (approx. 8 hours)-Be able to lift 50lbs regularly-Be able to push/pull carts that weight up to 400lbs regularly
