Duties and responsibilities;

Heading Central planning and Project Monitoring Division in the County
Directing Economic planning functions or production of statistical data at the County level.
Preparing County development plans and co-ordination of county position on National Economic Subjects;
Monitoring and evaluating of policies and programmes;
Assisting in collection, Collation, processing and administration of statistical data in accordance with Statistical Act.
Supervising Officers in his/her division or a Central Planning and Project Monitoring Divisions in the County.

Requirements For Appointment;
For appoint to this position an Officer must have:

Served in the position of Deputy Chief Economist/Deputy Chief Statistician for at least three (3) years or other comparable and relevant position in economic Planning; or in compilation and production of statistical data for County economic Planning and development in the public or Private Sector for at least twelve (12) years of which three (3) years must be at a senior Economic policy Research/Planning position.
Demonstrated outstanding professional competence matched with power appreciation of the county’s Economic Development Needs and the strategies necessary to meet them.
Demonstrated a high degree of administrative capability coupled with wide experience in economic planning or in the production and interpretation of statistical data;
Attained qualifications in Economics or Statistics of at least Masters of Arts (MA), Masters of Science (MSc)or Master of Philosophy (MPhil.) level or their equivalent recognized qualification.
Attended a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution or a Strategic Leadership Development Programme or its equivalent lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution;
Demonstrated general administrative ability required for direction, control and implementation of public works services;
Demonstrated self-drive and proven leadership;
