Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Officer at Emisphere Limited in Port Harcourt.


Identify and target potential clients for remote location catering, and food supply services within the oil & gas and marine industry.
Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.
Establish strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-up.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting the value proposition of our procurement services.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements to maximize profitability and secure long-term partnerships with clients and vendors.
Oversee existing client accounts and ensure satisfaction with services provided.
Handle any client issues or concerns and provide prompt solutions.
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and client needs.
Provide insights and feedback to improve services and offerings.
Maintain records of sales activities and client interactions.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and business development activities.
Collaborate with all company’s teams (departments) to develop customized procurement solutions that align with client goals.
Analyse previous and current services to determine how best to sell them to prospective clients.
Implement sales and business development strategies to ensure revenue growth.
Acquire new clients/business for the company and follow up prospects for the business.
Set targets for annual growth and prepare marketing activity plans for the company in line with management's directives.
Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the marketing department.
Have in-depth knowledge of the company’s services to be able to effectively communicate the company's value to prospects.
Prepare and submit Tenders/ Technical and Commercial.
Submit quotes based on RFQS


Qualifications


3+ years of experience in business development or sales within the oil & gas / marine sectors.
Resilient, self-motivated, and result driven.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
BSc / HND in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field from a reputable institution.
Excellent analytical skills for evaluating market trends, financial reports, and business performance metrics.
Strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and negotiate deals.
Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as a good relationship management skill.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
Ability to drive with a valid driver’s licence
