Subsahara Leaf Uganda Ltd is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to be based in its Arua Office.

Preparation of Income tax, VAT, Profit & Loss, and the Balance Sheet.
Responsible for all month-end activities including month end journal entries, balance sheet and profit & loss account scrutiny, variance analysis and reporting of accurate financial information for assigned cost centers within Group deadlines.
Fixed Asset Accounting: Manage the company Fixed Asset Register, ensuring proper recording of asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation calculations in accordance with accounting standards.
Assist in managing the Group reporting processes, including long-term financial and cash flow forecasts, monthly/ quarterly business reviews, weekly metrics, and forecast updates.
Preparation and recording of bank transactions, along with the timely completion of bank reconciliations.
Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
Tracking the inventory movements and managing the company’s inventory levels: ensure the inventory levels are accurate and properly accounted for.
Generate financial and non-financial reports as mandated by the company.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements along with schedules
Preparation and filing of monthly and periodic tax returns, and attending to URA queries.
Generate any additional reports as requested by the management.
