Job Brief

The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing the entire manufacturing process, from production planning to final product delivery.
The successful candidate will be a results-oriented leader who is skilled in managing teams and has a track record of achieving operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

Manage the production process to ensure that all products are manufactured efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and implement production schedules to optimize plant capacity and minimize downtime.
Oversee the procurement of raw materials and manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Manage the performance of the production team, including hiring, training, and development.
Analyze production data and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Work closely with the sales and marketing team to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
Manage the plant budget and ensure that production costs are controlled within budgeted levels.

Job Requirements

A Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Production Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
Experience in the agrochemical industry is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing process improvements.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
