Job Description

Technical Excellence:


Conducts assignments in the civil engineering field
Plans, organises and manages complex projects
Makes recommendations on alternate solutions to engineering problems
Prepares and presents technical plans and reports
Institutes changes in methods, designs or equipment
Under Supervision, performs work following the agreed-upon budget and schedule.
When required, collects and analyses information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving fundamental engineering problems.
Coordinates with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process.
Participates in design progress and coordination meetings.
Checks and ensures the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions.
Actively seeks information, opportunities to participate and contribute, and develops efficiencies and effectiveness.
Contributes by solving problems and applying experience or theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments.
Assists with the design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs under project timelines.


Client Relationship Management:


Begins to participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain/defend work, etc.


Qualifications


BTech Degree.  Registered as a Candidate Technologist or Professional Telchnician with  ECSA
Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in rail track design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
Advanced proficiency in rail track design software, such as AutoCAD and MicroStation
Strong analytical skills and expertise in track geometry calculations and analysis
In-depth knowledge of rail industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
