Under the supervision of the Senior Project Officer and Area Coordinator, the Project Assistant will be responsible for the planning and implementation of Seasonal Food distribution and monitoring activities of FSL Project, as well as being in charge of timely reporting. She/he will be fully responsible for ensuring the quality of service delivery and successful accomplishment of all activities and set targets.

To ensure the project is implemented in a timely and Professional manner, according to objectives, goals and indicators, in line with donor requirement and based on beneficiary needs.
Implementation of the project
Plan, direct and aid in the management of the project.
Organize and facilitate recurring meetings with different Stakeholders and ensure proper follow up of all decisions and recommendations are taken during these meetings
To establish PMC’s in each location in line with organizations guide guidelines
Conduct training and capacity building of Project staff .
Providing technical support to the Team in the field to maximize the impact of the trainings to increase community and household output (based on ToT methodology);
Carry out assessments, monitoring and evaluation activities as required by the project
Support the team in the Training of farmers on the correct methods on the various stages of cultivation and maintaining an agricultural technique demonstration farm
Undertake needs and capacity assessments as and when requested by the Project Manager
Working closely with the project team to plan the day to day activities to ensure that program goals are achieved and submitted weekly reports
Assist the FSL and Program team in developing BoQs/budget about any training and/or workshop and constructions concerned with livelihoods (granaries, tree nurseries, demonstration plots);
Carry out community sensitization and mobilization sessions with targeted community leaders to ensure communities are aware of the project objectives
In collaboration with the Project Manager and the Distribution Monitors, develop mobilization messages to communities to ensure there is transparency in communication.
Participate in distribution events for each of the activities to ensure there are no losses incurred and with a high level of integrity and transparency
Prepare project activities reports in accordance with standard reporting requirements, and support the Project Manager in filling in internal reporting tools on a weekly/monthly basis
Work closely with the FSL team to plan the day-to-day activities and liaise with other departments (Logistics, Finance, Administration and Security in particular) to ensure coordination during activities’ implementation
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activity Progress and Food distributed
Ensure effective integration and mainstreaming of gender into all distribution program
Maintain good working relation with communities and staff
Performs other duties under project as requested by Project Manager;
