Job Description


The Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Design position requires a dedicated professional to contribute to complex engineering projects.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:


Execute specific and critical components of broader engineering assignments with precision and attention to detail.
Systematically collect and analyze essential engineering data using established protocols and methodologies.
Undertake detailed engineering tasks involving complex calculations and specialized testing procedures.
Develop and propose innovative solutions to address novel engineering challenges.
Conduct thorough analyses to identify and resolve discrepancies in engineering results.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to entry-level engineers, fostering their professional development.
Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by adhering to agreed-upon budgets and schedules while working under moderate supervision.


Qualifications


Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Civil Engineering or related field
4-8 years relevant experience post qualification
Professionally registered with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa)
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools
Strong knowledge of infrastructure design principles and practices
Experience in project management and coordination
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of relevant South African building codes and standards
Experience with sustainable design practices
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
