Core Responsibilities

Facilitate production and delivery of targeted volumes of green leaf that meets set standards through appropriate trainings/field visits and sensitization of out growers on use of farm inputs;
Facilitate efficient and effective transportation of green leaf through green leaf transport scheme by enforcing scheduling, provision of tools and equipment, enforcing leaf quality and post-harvest handling, training/coaching and mentoring staff, monitoring variances and handling related issues;
Enhance green leaf supply to the factory through recruitment of new growers as well as retaining the existing ones;
Assist the Extension services manager in decision making through timely provision of relevant data and reports on production, leaf quality, input usage and any other;
Enhance certifications and enforce standards in Rain Forest Alliance and Food Safety Management Systems through contributions in meetings, implementing action plans, training, inspections and internal auditing;
Uphold company reputation/ standards by training junior staff, enforcing company policies and maintaining harmonious relations with all stakeholders;
Facilitate improvements through contributions to Kaizen projects, attending meetings and implementing projects.

Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or a related field.
At least 6 years’ relevant experience with at least two years in a supervisory position in Extension service or tea Estate management
Have a clear grasp of operations in Extension service or Tea Estate management with a proven ability of managing the same.
