Responsibilities:





● Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot network incidents in PoPs and data centers.


● Identify and diagnose network issues accurately, escalating when necessary while maintaining clear communication with internal teams and leadership.


● Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve escalated infrastructure incidents and recommend improvements to enhance redundancy, capacity, and monitoring efficiency.


● Document incidents and maintain operational visibility using established ticketing and incident management systems.


● Participate in continuous learning, peer-to-peer training, and adopt operational best practices within a dynamic NOC environment.



Requisitos

● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).


● 5+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center or similar telecommunications environment.


● Strong understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.


● Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies such as Spanning Tree, EVPN, MPLS, RSVP, LDP, PPPoE, IPoE, TR069, 802.1x, and VPN.


● Familiarity with WAN and carrier-grade Ethernet/IP environments.


● Proficiency in ticketing systems and incident management processes.


● Excellent written communication skills for clear updates and escalations.


● Strong accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to resolving issues fully.





Desirable / Nice to Have:





● Experience with network equipment from Nokia, Calix, Juniper, or Adtran.


● Practical experience with network monitoring systems such as Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds, or IRIS.


● Familiarity with fiber optic technology and related network equipment.


● Basic scripting knowledge in Perl, Python, or similar languages for operational automation.
