Key tasks include:


Overseeing ongoing consultancy contracts and deliverables, including the financial model study.
Preparing TORs and managing consultants conducting studies in support of the GCF proposal, as required.
Reviewing and approving consultancy deliverables and financial reports, coordinating payments with Project Management Assistant(s) and finance assistants.
Following up on feedback related to the GCF concept note in close collaboration with the Chief, Climate Change Adaptation.
Engaging with and providing updates to Kenya’s National Designated Authority (NDA) – National Treasury and ICRAF, the project’s implementing partner. As well as any other tasks required.


Qualifications/special skills


A Master’s degree in natural resources management, social sciences, environmental sciences/studies, development, economics or other relevant disciplines is required.
A first level degree with additional two years of qualifying experience maybe accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree
At least 5 years of work experience year at the international level, including one year experience with projects in developing countries and experience in adaptation project design and management is required Experience working with the UN is an asset;
Experience in working with bilateral and multilateral climate funds such as IKI, GCF, GEF,and/or AF an asset
