RESPONSIBILITIES


Conduct assessments to identify existing and potential funding opportunities.
Analyse donor trends, partnership landscapes, and alignment with UN-Habitat and LHS priorities.
Identify key current and emerging donors, including UN funds, joint funds, governments and ODA, philanthropic, private sector partners, etc.
Explore innovative financing mechanisms and non-traditional funding sources.
Identify opportunities for joint resource mobilization with other UN entities.
Develop and submit at least 10 concept notes and/or project documents to donors.


Qualifications/special skills


Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in International Relations, Development and Urban Studies, Economics, Business Administration, Housing, Land Management, Urban Planning or related field is required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in resource mobilization, donor relations, or partnerships development is required. Proven experience in strategy development and donor engagement, preferably within the UN system or an international financing institution is desirable.
Experience in programming related to housing, basic services, land management and/or related issues in lower- and middle-income countries is preferred.
