Job Description

Ensure implementation of Human Resource policies.
Ensure timely management of program timesheets/effort certification.
Participate in recruitment, promotions, induction and other employee relation activities. 
Update staff compliment and establishment.
Process employee employment details.
Participate in the preparation of payroll. 
Receive and filing of job applications. 
Manage annual Staff Appraisal.
Identify and carrying out staff training needs.
Train and mentoring human resource staff.
Handle routine correspondence. 

For an appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

Master’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Development, Human Resource Planning and Development, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following Social Sciences: Human Resource Management, Sociology, Records Management, Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, or it's equivalent from a recognized institution.
Served in the grade of HR Officer I for a minimum period of three (3) years or its comparable position.
Diploma in Human Resource Management 
Membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Fulfil requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of the Republic of Kenya, 2010 at the point of placement.
