EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS


A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related field is required.
A Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related field is an added advantage.
Professional Engineer (PE) e.g. COREN, NSE license is an advantage.
CAD Software Proficiency: Expertise in software like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor is mandatory.
Analysis Tools: Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational
Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools, such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
Materials Knowledge: Understanding material properties (metals, plastics, composites) and their applications in design.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of manufacturing techniques like machining, 3D printing, injection molding, and casting.
GD&T: Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for precise designs.


TECHNICAL SKILLS


Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in a mechanical design or engineering role.
Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing previous design projects, prototypes or solutions.
