ABOUT THE HIRING COMPANY
The hiring company is a 4-Star Hotel located in Nanyuki. The facility is well-equipped with modern guest rooms, a restaurant, and a bar. They currently have opportunities for Restaurant Service Staff to join their team of professionals.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
A Service Staff's responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, processing food and drink orders, carrying food and drinks from the kitchen to the tables, as well as preparing bills. He/she should be able to perform well in a fast-paced environment, communicate politely with customers and make sure they enjoy their meals. Effective communication with the Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly is paramount.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Welcoming customers when they arrive at the restaurant.
2. Introducing customers to the menu and announcing daily or seasonal menu specials.
3. Demonstrating an attitude of friendly hospitality in every aspect of service.
4. Answering questions appropriately about menu items, ingredients, and pricing.
5. Taking customers' orders for food and drinks by writing them on a ticket, entering them into a tablet, or memorizing them.
6. Collecting food orders from the kitchen, verifying that they are correct, and serving them to customers.
7. Ensuring that customers are satisfied with their meals and processing orders for additional courses if necessary.
8. Removing used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables to the stewarding area.
9. Processing cash and credit card payments and returning change to customers if necessary.
10. Seting tables with dishes, glasses, flatware, and refilled condiments.
11. Performing wine service according to the procedures.
12. Maintaining proper sanitation of the work areas and equipment.
13. Ensuring that all procedures concerning presentation and payment of bills and remittance of sales are followed.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
1. A minimum of a Diploma in Food & Beverage, Hospitality Management, or any other related field.
2. Knowledge of the ingredients, preparation, and proper presentation of all menu items and specials to ensure that every product delivered to the guest adheres to the highest possible quality.
3. Must be conversant with liquor laws and regulations.
4. Must be keen on details, and have good communication and customer service skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure.
6. Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Must be able to multi-task.
8. Must be ready to maintain a high level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity.
9. Must have a proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress or Barista.
