Key Responsibilities


Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation
Handle accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions are remitted timely (PAYE, VAT, pensions, etc.)
Assist in budget preparation and expenditure tracking
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities when necessary
Support internal and external audits
Advise management on cost reduction and revenue improvement opportunities


Requirements


B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar accounting role
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
Experience in retail or pharmaceutical sectors is a strong advantage.
