Position Summary:


The Collection Officer will be responsible for following up on loan repayments, ensuring timely collections, maintaining strong client relationships, and minimizing delinquency rates in line with company policies.


Key Responsibilities:


Follow up with clients on overdue loan repayments through calls, visits, and reminders. Negotiate and agree on repayment plans with clients in arrears.
Maintain accurate records of collections and update loan accounts regularly. Monitor assigned loan portfolio to identify potential repayment risks early.
Work closely with Branch Managers and the credit team to reduce non-performing loans.
Ensure all collections are conducted in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner. Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly collection reports.


Qualifications & Experience:


Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Previous experience in collections, microfinance, or lending institution issuing business loans is an added advantage.
Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet targets.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Willingness to travel within assigned areas.
