The programme comprises four areas of intervention, namely 1) enable Sudanese civil society actors to continue their work outside and inside of Sudan, 2) supporting Sudanese citizens to engage in inclusive activities strengthening peace and social cohesion, 3) to connect Sudanese civil society and to elevate their voices as well as 4) to support adaptive and context-sensitive implementation.

Advising Sudanese civil society organisations regarding their organisational development and technical capacity building needs.
Supporting the strengthening of cooperation among Sudanese diaspora organisations and their networks.
Coordinating activities and exploring synergies with other relevant GIZ programmes, especially the GIZ Uganda Governance programme and contributing to monitoring and evaluation as well as communication efforts of the Sudan Governance Programme.
