What will you do?


As a Project Development Analyst you will support the development team in all environmental & social aspects of the project development cycle including:
Early site identification and inception analysis.
Producing stakeholder engagement plans and conducting stakeholder engagement.
Securing land rights.
Obtaining permits, licenses, and authorizations.
Developing terms of reference for environmental & social impact scoping/ assessments.
Conducting and reviewing (pre-)feasibility studies (including environmental & social impact scoping/ assessments).
Developing biodiversity action plans and resettlement action plans.


Requirements


A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management/ Sciences/ Studies or related course with a minimum of Second Class Honours, Upper Division.
1 to 3 years working experience.
Familiar with IFC Performance Standards.
Conversant with the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
Strong background in both terrestrial and aquatic ecology.
Experience in avian conservation and ecology is an added advantage.
Strong MS Office skills.
Team player with strong communication, analytical, and numerical skills.
Adaptable and eager to learn.
Able to work autonomously and in a team.
Entrepreneurial and hands-on.
Resourceful, persistent, assertive, self-starter, consistent, accurate, and great attention to detail.
Keen interest in sustainability or renewable energy.
Comfortable across cultures and time zones.
Fluent in English and Swahili.
