The Assignment
IDLO in partnership with LSK is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct comprehensive training for pro bono advocates in three regions: Mombasa Kisumu and Eldoret. The training will focus on the content and implementation of the Children Act 2022. The consultant will be expected to deliver the training sessions with utmost clarity and effectiveness, providing participants with a thorough understanding of the subject matter.
Deliverables
The consultant shall deliver the following outputs:

An Inception Report detailing the understanding of the terms of reference and a proposed methodology, a work plan indicating clear milestones and timelines., to be delivered within three days of contract start.
Develop pre and post-assessment for trainees using IDLO training assessment forms.
Conduct training for probono lawyers in Mombasa, Kisumu and Eldoret.
Any other deliverable deemed necessary to successfully complete the assignment.

Job Requirements
The ideal selected Consultant should possess the following qualifications and experience.

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, and any other related degree from a university recognized in Kenya.
An advocate of the High Court in the children's court/ or understanding/experience in children matters.
Demonstrated experience leading assignments of similar nature for high-level government agencies, focusing on access to justice/administration of justice/rule of law.
Minimum of 7 years relevant professional experience in Rule of Law and knowledge of contemporary child justice matters.
Possess strong work ethic characterized by desire to achieve results. Strong problem- solving skills, with a high degree of personal and professional organization.
The candidate will be expected to go through IDLO Trainer of Trainers training.
